Checking in on the Paradise Riders, a motorcycle group out of Paradise, we wanted to see what they’ve been up to. After raising enough donations to provide a new motorcycle for a young man in Paradise at Christmas, they are still working on giving away a few more bikes. After the devastating Paradise fire (Camp Fire), the group decided there were plenty of ways they could help riders from Paradise, who lost so much. They have been busy working over a couple more bikes they plan to give away soon.
As always, they encourage new members to join the group. They organize campouts, rides and do trail work. If you are new to the area and looking for places to ride, they are very familiar with the local trail network and even riding opportunities in other areas such as Nevada.
The group is currently working together with Butte County on a grant proposal for 15 miles of trail in Plumas County at Granite Basin located between Quincy and Oroville. Volunteers are always needed for trail work and the group has fun with it all. If you are interested in joining the off-road group you can contact Gabe Eggen, owner of Northstate Powersports, formerly Chico Honda. He said they have family campouts planned for August and again in the fall and they are hoping to recruit new members.You can stop by and see him at the shop at 11096 Midway in Chico or call him at 530-342-4216.

Speaking of Northstate Powersports, it’s the new name for the old Chico Honda. With the same ownership and management in place, you can be sure the great customer service has not changed. Owner/General Manager Gabe Eggen said they carry all the products they have before but have added Arctic Cat ATVs and Side-By-Sides. Gabe said he was sold on them after testing them out at a Las Vegas trade show. In 2017 Textron bought out Arctic Cat. They are also makers of Bell Helicopters and other military products. Gabe was highly impressed with the machines. Stop in and see the new line-up in their same location at 11096 Midway Chico, formerly Chico Honda, now Northstate Powersports.
