There are many ways to give to those affected by the Camp Fire. There are still many, many needs. Several non-profit organizations and businesses have set up funds to help. Here are two.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Company

Ken Grossman’s family, owners of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, based in Chico, have long been a positive force in Butte County. What they are doing now for people affected by the Camp Fire has set into motion what is being called the largest charitable collaboration-ever among breweries.

In the days following the fire, Sierra Nevada announced plans to brew a fundraiser beer for Camp Fire relief, Resilience Butte County Proud IPA.

They then called upon their friends in the industry, asking suppliers to donate ingredients, asking every brewery to brew Resilience and donate 100% of the sales to the Camp Fire Relief Fund, a fund set up by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, which they also seeded with a $100,000 donation. The response was heartwarming, to say the least.

Over 1400 breweries from around the world have joined the effort, offering to brew Resilience and donate 100% of the sales for Camp Fire victims. The Camp Fire Relief Fund is supported through the Golden Valley Bank Community Foundation. The beer, released in December, is on tap at caring breweries around NorCal and the world. Chico Honda Motorsports

Gabe Eggen, owner and operator of Chico Honda Motorsports, has set up a fund with Golden Valley Community Bank for Camp Fire relief.  In the store you can easily add a donation of any amount to your purchase. You can also give online.

   On Christmas, they were able

to help a six year old from Paradise. After losing his father last year, he had received a dirt bike last Christmas, calling it his favorite gift.

Months later that dirt bike and everything else was taken by the fire. This year, the fund was able to replace that dirt bike.

According to Eggen, use of funds raised range from these types of justices, to housing, to food, to community events, to local employees struggling for direction.  Donations to the fund can be made at Golden Valley Bank.
