We stopped by Glende Polaris in Chico to see what they might recommend to our readers for ATV family fun this holiday season. She told us that families really enjoy the fun and workability of the Polaris Ranger. When it comes to work and play, Shaylee at Glende Polaris quickly recommended the all-new 2018 Ranger XP 1000. This new, more rugged, more refined model features over one hundred owner-inspired improvements. Setting a new standard for what a utility side-by-side can do, its modern design takes you to the next level when it comes to in-cab comfort. Its industry-leading towing and ground clearance give Polaris good cause for calling it the hardest-working, smoothest-riding SxS ever built. The base price is $15,299.

The upgraded model, the Ranger XP® 1000 EPS includes a gorgeous automotive-style, metallic paint in titanium, suede, or sunset red. Aluminum Black® Xcelerator 2.0 wheels along with 27” tires and cut & sew seats brings the starting price on this model to $16,299. These are also offered in multi-passenger, with the Ranger XP Crew.  All the same performance and comfort, with a double bench seat to pile in the whole family!

Each 2018 Ranger XP 1000 shows off a 4-stroke, twin cylinder Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC) boasting 82 HP with a 1,500-pound payload capacity and 2,500-pound towing capacity. Its high performance, (On-Demand True AWD/2WD/Versa Trac Turf Mode) drive system, and Dual A-Arm front and rear suspension delivers what Polaris is calling ‘the smoothest ride.’  This ride offers 13” ground clearance and 3-person capacity.
