This season’s fun begins with the 3rd annual North State Quilt Jamboree September 29 & 30 at the Red Bluff Community Center 1500 S. Jackson St. in Red Bluff.

Doors open Saturday at 9am to welcome guests to browse the quilts, shop and participate in workshops throughout the day. Sunday morning a special lecture will be held at 8:30 am followed by a second day of jamboree shopping and workshops. Both days’ events end at 5pm.

Quilters wishing to display their works at the  North State Quilt Jamboree can expect to pay $2.00 per quilt to register and there is a five quilt maximum per quilter. All quilts must have a sleeve attached. Clip rings are acceptable if the rings are large enough for the display poles and there are enough rings to support the weight of the quilt. Quilts can be dropped off at Stitch by Stitch, 340 Hickory St. in Red Bluff, no later than Tuesday, Sept 26. Quilts can be picked up at Stitch by Stitch Sunday Oct 1st 10am-1pm.

The fun shifts into high gear November 4 & 5 when Annie’s Star Quilt Guild Harvest Of Quilts IX comes to the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds, at 2357 Fair St. in Chico. More than 200 of the guild members quilts will be on display representing their many skills and talents. Several vendors will be on hand for lunch, snacks, small quilted and hand sewn items along with quilting supplies and many other unique items. Quilt raffles, prize baskets and a special exhibit by featured quilters Janice Maxey and Janet Alexander are sure to make this another amazing show. Admission is $7 and parking is free.

Tickets are on sale now to win the stunning “Opportunity Quilt” (pictured). The winner will be announced at the event. In the meantime,  you can view the quilt and purchase tickets at the following places. Tickets are $1 for one, $5 for 6, and $10 for 13.
