The winter of 2017 will surely be remembered with all the floods, mudslides and snow closures we’ve had in the North State. As we move from a wet winter to the balmy spring, let’s join quilters in the North State in the several Annual Quilt Shows. Each show is bound to perk your creativity, open your sense to new spring fabrics, patterns and gadgets.
On April 1st, 2017 we have the Quilting in the Sun Country Quilt Show, held at Tehama District Fairgrounds, in Red Bluff. It begins Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be over 200 quilts on display. There are drawings and demonstrations by talented instructors along with show shopping by many vendors. Admission is only $10.
On April 22 and 23rd the Cabin Fever Quilt Guild of Portola will hold its 25th Annual Quilt show. It is held at the Father Burns Hall, 100 Pine St. in Portola. It starts at 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday. The Quilt Guild has their General Store where you can find that special bargain item. There are vendors and stay for lunch in the Tea Room. Admission is only $6.00.
On May 13th Quincy Crazy Quilters present Mad About Quilts and Tea at the Quincy Fairgrounds, Tulsa Scott Building, Quincy, CA. This event opens at 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, Saturday only. The tea is a favorite event of the quilt show and be sure to get your tickets early. There will be vendors, drawings and a General Store where you will find good values. Admission is $10. Enjoy the ending of our wet winter and begin a weekend of inspiration and creativity by attending one of the several quilt shows. What could be more fun that viewing beautiful quilt artistry with your friends.
