Lake Levels at Almanor are Looking Good

With boat launches open, including free public boat launches, businesses around Lake Almanor are excited about the lake level in spite of California’s drought. Everybody has been busy getting ready for a big season. Early warm weather also kick-started the season for resorts and restaurants, with plenty of visitors in the area.
Lake Levels at Almanor are updated regularly and posted at http://www.project2105.org. Historic lake level records are also available on the site. According to levels recorded, on June 7, 2015, the lake water measured 4484.52 feet elevation. On June 7, 2014 the level was reported at 4484.95 feet, a difference of just a few inches. During the summer of 2014 lake levels allowed for a great season for businesses. All campgrounds and facilities around the lake are fully expected to be open throughout the season.
In fact, lakefront campgrounds, resorts and restaurants are expecting a great season because of the water levels. “We just need to get the word out”, said Jared Johnson of Majors’ Outpost Watercraft Rentals at Plumas Pines Resort.
