Weddings and Events at Turtle Bay Exploration Park

Turtle Bay Exploration Park is a jewel in Northern California, providing a theme park adventure for fun for all ages. Botanical gardens, animal friends and a museum add to the excitement. You can visit Forest Camp and the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay, but did you know they offer facility rentals for weddings and other special events?

This beautiful 300-acre park spans the Sacramento River and is connected by the Sundial Bridge. There are a variety of venues within the park for your special events. Elegant weddings and receptions take place in their lovely Botanical Gardens or a couple can choose to have their ceremony on the Sundial Bridge, overlooking the picturesque river. From stylish weddings and receptions to amazing birthday parties at Forest Camp, this location has seven venues including two classrooms for corporate events. Zubie’s Museum Classroom offers breathtaking views of the southern vista of Turtle Bay’s wetlands, through large door and ceiling windows.

Sierra Pacific Oak Hall

This is the largest indoor facility on-site. The hall shows off distinctive architecture, rich wood tones and earthy tones for a stunning ambiance. Guests will enjoy The River Aquarium, a 22,000 gallon fresh water tank, plus a riparian habitat of the Sacramento River.

The Sundial Bridge and Amphitheater

Many an epic event has taken place on the Sundial Bridge and Amphitheater. This stunning location offers the solitude of the Sacramento River and the awe-in- spiring design of the bridge itself. The Trinity Alps provide a backdrop above the river resulting in stunning photo oppor- tunities. The Bridge Amphitheater can host up to 250 seated guests or up to 350 for a standing reception.

The North Plaza of the

Sundial Bridge

This venue provides a beautiful view of The Sundial Bridge with the Sacramento River nearby. Two lawn areas on each side of the bridge apron bring an extra touch of elegance to this outdoor setting. The North Plaza will accommodate up to 250 seated guests or up to 400 in a reception arrangement.

McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens make up 20 acres of the park.

• Fitzpatric Celebration Garden

The Fitzpatric Celebration Garden is perfect for weddings, receptions, and private parties. Available year-round, the garden includes two spacious lawn areas, which combined span nearly 6,000 square feet. This venue transforms into a magical wedding spot.

• Quarry Patio Garden

The Quarry Patio Garden features a spacious patio area. Guests will enjoy picturesque views of the Sundial Bridge and beautiful gardens. It is ideal for barbecues, reunions and receptions of any kind. The beautiful natural setting among the gardens is ideal or can be dressed up to suit your fancy.

• Children’s Garden & Picnic Grove

This garden has adventure built into every corner. A play structure designed by mixed media artist Colleen Barry defines the space while the Mosaic Oasis, a fun and whimsical water feature sets the scene. The garden and picnic grove areas are full of fun and interesting plants from around the world. Enjoy seeking out the hidden turtle and other entertaining treasures for your child’s next birthday party.

Paul Bunyan’s Forest Camp

This Forest Camp explores the forest and its wildlife habitat. This venue is quite large, accommodating up to 400 seated or 1,000 for a standing event.

The Forest Amphitheater is a great place to host outdoor concerts and ceremonies. The space can seat 200 guests and is surrounded by mature wetland greenery. A water feature depicting Mt. Shasta, the Sacramento River, and a giant sequoia tree maze offer exploration and outside play. PA systems and audio visual equipment is also available.
