Making an Heirloom Quilt

A babies first Christmas only happens once so why not preserve it forever with a quilt made by everyone who loves them. Have friends and family make a single quilt square that is unique to them personally. Maybe grandpa was a cowboy, his square could be a hat, horse or boot. Gather the squares early and sew them into that special first Christmas quilt for baby. Don’t forget to add the year in the quilt somewhere and a fun Christmas border is always a plus. This is great idea for lap quilts for elderly too!
