In 1977, after graduating from the University of Nevada in Reno, owner Ken Dillon started his own roofing business. D&D Contractors opened with a one room office in an abandoned dairy barn. He had two people working in the office and five in the field. At that time D&D had only one truck and one asphalt kettle. Reno had several well-established roofing businesses, and D & D knew it would be tough getting a new business started. As it turned out, they were armed with what it would take to make the company a success, Ken’s tireless efforts. His tenacious hard work has paid off. D & D is now Nevada’s leading roofing business.
