On August 8, 2009 Westwood residents George and Neva Kves were blessed to have their feeder visited by the rare Leucistic Hummingbird. True albino ruby-throated hummers are pure white with pink bills, eyes and feet; very few have been documented. Leucistic types are not true albinos but are also a very uncommon sight.
