Located 20 miles south of Alturas, CA and 3 miles east of the small town of Likely at 4500 ft elevation, our warm days and cool nights are perfect for enjoying the activities.
The RV park and golf course are open year around and the Clubhouse Grill serves breakfast and lunch daily during the season. Lynn and Kathy are great chefs and also cater groups. Evening meals for groups can be arranged.
Accommodations are a 50 unit, full service RV park including group sites with gazebos; a 3 bedroom Villa and one bedroom park model offering deluxe accommodations at reasonable rates; a 13 unit manufactured home park featuring golf course living for long term guests; and many tent camping sites.
Our 6900 yard golf course boasts large manicured greens, wide fairways and beautiful views of the Warner Mountains. It’s an 18 hole course – par 72 with green fees, including cart, ranging from $36 to $39.
Tired of golf? Grab a brochure map and walk the nature trail or take the 3.5 mile trail around the golf course. For the more serious hiker the Warner Mountain Wilderness has miles of great trails and lakes that are seldom used. Play Bocce Ball on our recently completed courts or enjoy a game of horseshoes.
Fish Mirror Lake on the nature trail; you’re sure to get some action from bass, blue gill or perch. For trophy brown trout try Blue Lake or the South Fork of the Pit River, just a short drive from Likely Place. The Warner Mountains have many fishable waters close by including several large reservoirs for boating and fishing.
Ever seen – or better yet touched – a giant sturgeon? Ask the front office to arrange a private tour to the nearby Flournoy sturgeon farm and get up close and friendly with these prehistoric fish.
ATV riders have hundreds of miles of roads and trails to explore on Forest Service or BLM ground. Start right from the park to begin your ride. The old narrow gauge Modoc Line is open to ATVs and jeeps and runs for miles between Likely and Wendell.
Bring your bike and enjoy the 3.5 mile trail around the golf course. The nearby Modoc Line rails have been removed and the Lassen Trails Trust has graded the roadbed to make it bicycle, ATV, and jeep
friendly. There is a long ride from Likely to Madeline and back (28 miles) or a shorter loop of about 10 miles. Maps are free at the office.
Try birding in the early part of the day and identify as many birds as you can. We will provide a birding form to get you started. During the Spring and Fall our local wildlife refuges host millions of migrating waterfowl. Try our geo-cache course that features 19 sites. Get the form at the office.
Likely Place has some of the darkest skies in the USA. Bring your telescope. We have six astronomy pads complete with electricity.
