Lassen County Real Estate
Living in Lassen County is living large. Plenty of beautiful streams and lakes adorn the mountain side with beauty all the way to Lassen County’s edge, with its desert scenes and wildlife. Wild horses and wildflowers are beauty to capture in the desert. Lassen County includes beautiful deep forested communities, ranching communities and rural life opportunities. Small, friendly towns greet you.
Susanville is the county seat and has several businesses. A beautiful trail system at Susanville Ranch Trails Park is enjoyed by locals and visitors to the area. The historic Bizz Johnson Trail, a “Rails to Trails Conversion” is a well known course that travels along rivers’ edge and through the mountain terrain connecting Susanville to Westwood.
Westwood is on another far edge of Lassen County, with beautiful meadows surrounding the tall trees where residents enjoy snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hiking and more. Rare opportunities exist for kayaking on Mountain Meadows Reservoir, known to locals as Walker Lake. The bird watching is amazing. Fishing is popular at Goodrich Creek and Robbers Creek runs through the town of Westwood. Clear Creek Park is just down the road with beautiful park facilities including a bridge across sparkling Clear Creek. Opportunity to get a great buy is good in Westwood on real estate. The town is seeking families to enjoy the old fashioned, small town lifestyle.
