Ingredients:
* 4 1/2 cups tart cooking apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
* 1/4 cup water
* 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
* 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
* 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Preparation:
In a 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, combine the apples, water, brown sugar, and lemon juice, stirring to coat the apple slices.
