With difficult times in our midst, difficult decisions need to be made about where a business spends its dollars. Marketing can make or break a business. It may be time to RETHINK YOUR MARKETING PLAN. If you are looking to reach out a little further for customers and still reach your local market, consider MVL. Our full color, glossy magazine continues to fly off racks all over Lassen, Sierra and Plumas Counties as it has been since we began printing them in January of 2007, and now in Chico, Red Bluff and Northern Reno, magazines are going fast too. Each issue is packed with interesting and informative articles about really good stuff. We hope you will take the time to read through it for yourself to see why so many people are checking out this fun, new publication.
If you are not seeing direct results in the advertising you are doing, you may be interested in our strategic distribution plan. We print 10,000 magazines (we have very few leftovers) and we place them in hot spots only: medical waiting rooms, restaurants, service departments and other places where people wait. Magazines are also available free at major grocery stores, and perfectly selected, high traffic retail spots. We have increased our distribution each month,. which began at 5,000; we are now printing 10,000. We redistribute throughout the month as we continue to find our racks emptied at most all locations. We look forward to continued growth.
I encourage you to ask our advertisers how the response is. We have seen direct results from serving both the mountain people who come to ‘the city’ for many reasons and the ‘city residents’ who are a stones throw away from vacationing in our local mountains.
Our Monthly Event Calendar includes major attractions, mountain festivals and other interesting events in Northern CA. Events include Tahoe, Reno, Truckee, Chico, Red Bluff and Redding, plus Lassen, Plumas and Sierra counties. We feature articles on restaurants, hotels and other places to go, including weekend getaways, with details on prices. Within our pages, you will find ideas for easy mountain living and extreme outdoor recreation, great fishing spots, featured artists plus great recipes, healthy ideas, family fun and more. We focus on places to go, things to do and ways to make like simpler or better in Northern California.
